Statewide, 30.0M fish of the 125.5M fish preseason forecast are in, 24% of the projection. Sockeye, the value driver, is at 51% of its 49.7M fish forecast. Bristol Bay is furthest along at 62% of forecast. Kodiak trails at 0%. For context, mid-run, the sockeye peak, when the scoreboard fills fastest. The percent of forecast is the cumulative Blue Sheet harvest divided by ADF&G's April projection. It is a pace read, not a good-or-bad call: a big number is income for a fisherman and supply for a buyer.

About Alaska salmon season scoreboard, 2026

This is the season scoreboard: how far Alaska's commercial salmon harvest has come against the preseason forecast, area by area. The harvest is the cumulative common-property and cost-recovery catch from ADF&G's Blue Sheet, updated through the season in thousands of fish. The forecast is ADF&G's April "Run Forecasts and Harvest Projections". The percent of forecast climbs as each fishery opens and peaks, so early in the season low percentages are normal, not weak runs. Sport, subsistence and personal-use harvests are not included. In-season figures are preliminary and subject to revision.
