## The data

### Season scoreboard
The flagship: how far Alaska's commercial salmon harvest has come against the preseason forecast, ranked by fishing area. The percent of forecast is the share of the full-season projection landed so far, the cumulative Blue Sheet harvest over ADF&G's April forecast.

- [Alaska salmon season scoreboard, 2026](https://therun.news/scoreboard/statewide.md) — 82.4M fish all species, 69% of The Run's 119.9M fish commercial-comparable forecast (as of Aug 27, 2026)

### Run summary
Bristol Bay day by day: the cumulative commercial harvest by district, off ADF&G's Blue Sheet, with what each district added since the last report and when it was first published. Harvest only. Escapement and total-run counts stay with ADF&G's own Bristol Bay daily run summary, which this page links.

- [Bristol Bay daily run summary, 2026](https://therun.news/run-summary/bristol-bay.md) — 29.7M fish sockeye, 92% of the 32.3M fish in-area forecast (as of Aug 27, 2026)

### Areas
Each ADF&G management area, Bristol Bay, Prince William Sound, Southeast and the rest, with its cumulative harvest by species, its forecast and its percent of forecast, plus the last published ex-vessel prices where ADF&G has them. Bristol Bay also carries the by-district drill-down.

### Why the season is running this way
Whether Alaska's harvest is running ahead of or behind the preseason forecast, and what structurally decides that.

- [Why is Alaska's salmon harvest ahead of forecast?](https://therun.news/why/salmon-harvest-ahead.md) — Season in progress (69% of forecast)
- [Why is Alaska's salmon harvest behind forecast?](https://therun.news/why/salmon-harvest-behind.md) — Season in progress (69% of forecast)
